Genetic mutations sometimes occur in ordinary, healthy people. These mutations surface in approximately 1-2% of paternity cases. When they do, the final test results depend on careful interpretation of the data by the laboratory scientists. If an inconsistency is detected, any guarantees on conclusiveness and turnaround time are void. Such inconsistencies often require extended testing and might affect probabilities of paternity.

Express Labs limits its liability to the cost of the test and disclaims any liability for other losses, direct or indirect, arising from the test results.

Our laboratory performs the DNA test and completes it within 3 working days after receiving all samples. In cases of Forensic Testing, our laboratory performs the DNA test and completes it within 5-10 working days after receiving all samples.

If you are taking a Paternity Test, the Alleged Father and Child should not eat or drink anything 30 minutes before the test. Alleged Father and Child should rinse mouth before testing.

In cases where the Laboratory tests the samples and can not obtain a result because of insufficient Buccal Cells a 2nd sample will have to be taken. The cost of a 2nd sample is $99 for a Legal or a Personal Paternity Test.
